On July 1-2 the president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazerbayev, hosted an interfaith forum in Astana titled “Third Congress for Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions,” which was attended by leaders of major world faiths.  In an article in The Independent the Becket Fund’s Bennett Graham is quoted regarding the forum, where he offers critical insight into the continued restrictions on religious liberties encountered by minority faiths in Kazakhstan.
