Uzbekistan: Police Prevent Man from Attending Religious Meetings

FERGANA – Gafur Yusupov, who lives in a home for people with disabilities, has been banned by Tahir Gaziev, the director of the disabilities home, from attending the Baptist Church to which he belongs, Forum 18 reported on July 7.  Gaziez has received the support of the local police with regards to the restrictions placed on Yusupov, and in the process all of Yusupov’s Christian books and audio-tapes have been confiscated.
