Pakistan: Religious Intolerance on The Rise

World Wide Religious News reports that the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, an independent watchdog, has noticed a rise in sectarian violence and religious intolerance in the country, as well as an increase in forced conversions to Islam.  Pakistan is estimated to be about 97% Muslim, with minorities of Christians, Hindus, Sikhs and Ahmadiyya (http://www.alislam.org/).   Though the report focused mostly on the forced conversions of Hindu and Christian girls, it also contained examples of eviction based on religious identity and an instance in which a Hindu temple was encroached upon and used as a slaughterhouse.
