India: Rally Against Anti-Conversion Law Organized

The Indian Catholic reports that at least 100,000 people plan to attend a rally in Nagapur town on October 14 to commemorate the golden anniversary of a mass Dalit (Untouchable) conversion to Buddhism, when 500,000 Hindus renounced their faith because it was “based on inequality” in favor of a caste-free religion. Organizers plan to burn copies of the recently-amended Gujarat anti-conversion law, saying that they would like to draw attention to the “evil of a system which doesn’t allow people to express a freedom of conscience.”
