UK: Announces Plan for Government to Regulate Religious Schools

This is London reports that the UK government plans to grant OFSTED (The Office for Standards in Education) the power to inspect and regulate faith-based schools based on how well they contribute to “community cohesion”, which would include forcing them to hire teachers of different faiths and offer instruction in religions different from that of the school.  The teachers would either be employed directly or through an “exchange” program with other schools.
