China: House church forcibly demolished in Jilin Province

China Aid reports that the local government forcibly demolished a house church on the campus of Changchun Agricultural University on October 26.  The house, which has served as a place for religious activities for the past ten years, was bulldozed by a group of around 500 policeman and several hundred peasant workers.  Though the church has been the object of frequent attacks and harassment, the community has never yielded and registered the church to the government.  The official reason given for the destruction was “urban appearance rearrangement”.
