Iran: Government Intelligence Arrests 14 Christian Converts

Radio Free Europe reports (seventh item from bottom) that the Iranian Intelligence Ministry arrested 14 Christians in various Iranian cities on December 10. Human rights activists in Iran report that the intent was to keep those arrested from celebrating Christmas and New Year’s. The Christians, from Tehran, Karaj (west of Tehran) and Rasht, on the Caspian Sea, are alleged to have converted from Islam, for which they could face the death penalty.
