Vietnam: Bahá’í Community Receives Official Recognition

VNS reports that the government of Vietnam granted official recognition to the Bahá’í community in the country, delivering a “certificate of operation” to the community during a ceremony on March 20. The religion numbers around 6,880 followers in Vietnam, mostly in the south and central provinces, and has been present in the country since 1954. It is one of nine religions currently recognized by the government.
