Malaysia: Government Bans Books Deemed Offensive to Islam

Bernama reports that Malaysia’s Internal Security Ministry has banned a total of 37 publications, saying that their treatment of Islam contained “twisted facts” that could “cause apprehension among Muslims” and “jeopardize public order”. Twenty-one of the publications were in English and originated in the United States, the UK or Jordan, while the remaining works were published in Malaysian and came from Malaysia or Indonesia.
