Iran: 54 Bahais Convicted of Heresy

SHIRAZ – Iran has sentenced three Bahai members to four years in prison and another 51 to suspended sentences for heresy, the BBC reported on January 29. Although they have been released from detention, the 51 suspended sentences require attendance at courses run by state propaganda officials. The Bahai faith is outlawed in Iran.
