Further Reading: Religious Restrictions and Tensions in Vietnam

An article run by the Guardian examines the tensions experienced by Vietnamese in their attempts to practice their religious faiths in Ho Chi Minh City.  The article looks at restrictions on religious groups that operate without express government permission, the recent proliferation of underground services despite government assertions of increased religious liberties and the so called “religious police” who monitor groups deemed to be religious extremists.
