RABAT – The government warned on March 11 that its policy against proselytism would be strictly enforced, and Communications Minister Khalid Naciri announced that the government would be “severe with all those who play with religious values,” the AFP reported on March 11.  The announcement comes after the deportation of 20 foreign Christian missionaries on March 9.  Proselytism is illegal in the Sunni-Muslim majority nation.  The warning also applies to Muslims of the radical Salafia Jihadia movement and certain Shiite Muslim teachers, Minister Naciri said.
