SEOUL – Japanese members of the Unification Church, married to South Korean men, attended a news conference on April 21, during which they expressed their concern and fear of forced conversion by their family members upon returning to Japan, New York Post reported on April 28. On April 18, over 150 members of the Unification Church and supporters or religious freedom marched in Kurashiki City to publicly accuse a local Japanese minister of complicity in the kidnapping and unlawful confinement of members of the church, in often failed attempts at forced conversion, the Examiner reported on April 21.
